Description: It is the desire of the Center Staff and Governing Board to provide developmentally appropriate exper-iences, which will help youngsters to develop intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually, with a group of children their own age. The philosophy of the First Presbyterian Children's Care Center is to understand and support each child as an individual. We also believe that children grow and develop to their fullest potential if given the opportunity to explore, create and problem solve, with materials which are appropriate to their developmental age. Our Center will offer each child a warm, safe and nurturing environment and provide activities to promote cooperation, creativity, independ- ence, and a sense of self-esteem. We will also encourage a sense of caring for community and an awareness of the world around them.
