Federalsburg Judy Center

The Federalsburg and Greensboro Judy Centers promote school readiness through collaboration with community-based agencies and organizations and by offering many different early intervention and comprehensive services within the school and center. The Federalsburg Judy Center was established by the State of Maryland through the Caroline County Public Schools as a school-linked center to assure school readiness for Kindergarten students at Federalsburg Elementary School. This integrated approach includes early care and education programs as well as family support, health programs and special education services for children with disabilities. Children benefit because learning environments are exciting, positive and growth-oriented. Parents of young children benefit because their children are enrolled in stimulating programs that reflect the best practices of the field and by having access to family literacy and parent education services that support their role as primary teachers of their children. Judy Center partners benefit because family services are coordinated and quality assurance occurs through required program accreditation. Caroline County Public Schools benefit because young children are better prepared before they enter primary grades. The Federalsburg Judy Center Early Head Start program is accredited by the State of Maryland and the Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classrooms are validated.
