On March 21, 2024, a staff member failed to attend to a three-month-old child in a nurturing and appropriate manner when the child was bottle-fed in forceful manner by squeezing liquid in the child’s mouth while the child waved their arms, kicked, arched their back, and cried. The staff member held down the child’s arms and legs and continued to reposition the bottle in the child’s mouth without attempting to calm the child from crying. The staff member held a cloth/bib around the bottle and over the child’s mouth while feeding.
