In 2013 as a young teen looking to break into the EARLY CHILDHOOD profession, Mildred has welcomed me with open arms to volunteer at her facility. She was very kind, thorough and patient as I hadn’t had much experience at that time. It was evident from the very first day that her love for teaching went well beyond just the children. I was determined to learn and she was determined to teach, so as a collective we could provide the best possible care for the children. With lots of side by side training, encouragement and support, I would be shortly become a certified Teacher’s Assistant at MGFDC. During my time of employment there I have learned so much, such as conflict resolution, behavior management, lesson planning and so much more. I have been working at MGFDC consecutively for 5 years (2013-2018). During that time I’ve learned the importance of the consistency and creating safe and fun learning spaces in young children’s lives and the difference it makes in their educational and emotional growth. Even in my full time departure, Mildred was very supportive and has even provided me with multiple outstanding recommendations. In addition, I was able to land multiple teaching assistant jobs as well a head teaching jobs over the years. From 2018 to present I still remain on call as a Teacher’s Assistant for MGFDC and come to help out when needed or when I have extra time. It is always a pleasure to see the staff and children. I am overall grateful for the children, staff and Mildred who all has contributed to my experience and skill set in which I will continue to carry with me on my future endeavors.
Mildred Daycare is the best , I can tell you many stories of miracles this daycare has done for me , but there will be no room left on the review, both of my kids went to Mildred, she is very alert she works hands on with children, she has a huge heart for children ????, I remember my daughter had a day off from school and I needed help and she helped me just for me to land a job and I got it????. This daycare is a miracle house especially for families that’s trying
Mildred’s Daycare was recommended to us by our son’s speech therapists, who visits a number of daycares daily and sees how children are taken care of in each facility. As soon as I met Mildred I knew that she cares for each children with love like a family. Our son with special needs had a biting problem in the previous daycare and we received a number of complaints. Mildred on the other hand told us that she’d find out why he has this issue. Soon after he joined her daycare, his problem went away and he became healthier (he was sick almost every week while attending the previous daycare) and happier. Children in Mildred’s daycare not only have lots of fun but they learn to care about each other. We highly recommend Mildred’s daycare.
Absolutely love this daycare and Mildred in a whole...my daughter been going to this daycare since she was 3 months and now she's 12. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming. Mildred is caring and understanding and she make sure all her kids feel the love once they walk in the door. This daycare is highly recommended for all.
Excellent service , Goes above and beyond and the kids learn so much ...
I enjoyed being able to assist with helping small children. I watched and learned how to care and be attentive to children at all times. I taught them reading, sounds and sharing skills. It was a joy to see these kids grow and transform daily from this family group day care
Mrs.Evans was heaven sent in my 5ime of need she wentvabove and beyond to assist me and my family
My daughter has been attending day care at Mildred Evans' day care since she was about 5 months old. I am a single parent and I can sincerely say that her care, love, dedication and support has been a source of great comfort and allowed me to be a better parent. The experience and knowledge she has acquired in the many years of caring for children is huge! If you are considering this facility, make an appointment to meet with Ms. Evans and you'll understand the amount of time and honest effort she puts into each child, every single day. (So much so, that children who she cared for years ago still ask their parents to come by to visit and spend time with her!) Thank you, Mildred!
I had the pleasure of working in this group family day care. I still visit periodically. The day care is managed very well. Mildred and her workers are very caring with the children. It's like a family environment for the kids, where they learn and have fun while developing into bright preschoolers, ready for school.
