Please excuse the long post, but after 3 years, I have a lot to say! My youngest son has been at this in-home daycare with Gloria for 3 years and I am beyond happy with this center! This daycare center was recommended to me by one of my teaching colleagues. After putting my older son through a few different daycares, I can tell you that Enchanted Gardens is top of the line. It is run by a trustworthy, loving woman named Gloria who has turned her home into a smooth running daycare. I am beyond happy with all aspects of this center and it’s caretakers and there are many reasons why. My child is happy to arrive and happy when I pick him up everyday. Every night he talks about how much fun he had with his friends that day, running, climbing, jumping, racing, singing, drawing and playing. He exercises for a large chunk of the day through play, bike riding and running races around the outdoor track, playing on playground equipment, yoga and more with the other kids (all in the fenced backyard). My kid is a “rough and tough, play in the dirt, run and jump” type of kid. Gloria embraces this aspect of his personality and sets goals for him. For example, jump further, run faster or climb higher than you did yesterday. Because of this, my child has amazing gross motor skills after spending three years at this center. As a parent, I have the satisfaction of knowing my child is being feed two healthy, organic meals and many snacks each day! She encourages them to try new things which has really helped me as a Mom. The indoor facilities are clean and very kid oriented. Gloria’s living room has been transformed into 5-6 learning centers, giving the kids a choice of free play, ranging from kitchen to comfy book area to building block area. Gloria helped me a lot with toilet training my child. She encourages the kids to use the toilet and celebrates them when they do. Discipline is fair and she encourages the kids to treat each other kindly. In the rare occasion that Gloria is out, one of her 2 certified subs (who both have the required clearances), takes over for her for the day. The subs visit often and spend time with the kids, so they are used to these teachers. In regard to the post discussing the negative experience, I can tell you that my husband is a police officer and he did extensive research before choosing this daycare and we continued checking up on all things that had to do with the safety of our child over the years. The kids play so much they are bound to get boo-boo’s here and there! I’ve seen these kids in action and they all love being there and have so much fun together! It’s like a little family. An occasional bruise or scrap is expected, especially since my kids gets bruises at home all the time! I have never had a problem with hours or fees. It was all given to me upfront. I follow the hours of operation out of respect, so I haven’t ever had any issues in that area. The hours of 7am-6pm seem reasonable. Enchanted Gardens and the amazing Gloria have become part of our family! It’s like dropping my child off to his grandmother each morning. This place needs very little advertising because it stays full based off word of mouth (mostly through teachers). If you have the opportunity to send your child here, you better reserve your spot quickly because I know of a lot of teachers who are pregnant! ????
Gloria is a very loving and caring person. We switched to enchanted garden a year ago and I will never go anywhere else. Please do not listen to the negative comment of Shannon, she used Gloria, took advantage of her and then took off when Gloria stopped her. She did not follow any of the guidelines and rules or expectations that are in her handbook. My child never comes home with any Injuries. And he only comes home in the clothes I have labeled stating they are his. This facility is always very clean as are the children. Gloria only feeds them the best fresh organic food, teaches them to pray, be kind and loving children of god. They are outside in the fresh air all morning everyday. Learning throughout play. Enchanted garden is the best thing that ever happened to our family.
This place is the best. My daughter loves it here. The kids get to be outside running, biking, and playing. They have sand and water play time. The best part is the owner puts an importance on social development and holistic health. She serves all organic, low sugar, healthy meals and snacks. There is a feeling of home away from home.
My wife and I have been sending our son here for more than two years. We could not be more happy with what we have experienced so far. Our son is always taken care of and we never have a doubt who is watching our child. We trust Enchanted Gardens with our son, and soon our daughter as well. Meals are fed to them three times a day with a snack, not to mention everything is fresh and organic. There is a huge backyard for the KIDS to be KIDS and play. He is taught manners and how to pick up after himself. If you are looking for a trustworthy place to send you child to become a model citizen, this is the place! If we ever get stuck at work or need to drop off our son earlier or later, she always says yes. She treats them like they are her own and never has them in front of TV (she doesn't have one). We are and always will be grateful for being lucky to have her as a daycare. WE HIGHLY recommend!!!
My five year old daughter has been in the care of this wonderful woman for over 3 years. Words simply don't do justice to how grateful our family is for having found her. She is kind, thoughtful, and caring. The facility is immaculate and our daughter is well taken care of. We highly recommend Enchanted Garden! We love this sweet, gracious Lady.
Do not trust this daycare. I enrolled my son for one month and he came home with bruises all over. When I picked My son up, different men were always at her home, not appropriate. She was always mixing up my son clothes so he was always coming home in a different child’s outfit. Very very disappointed!! Also we agreed upon a price and time, then she would change things and get upset. Not accommodating at all which is what an at home daycare is suppose to be. All around terrible. DO NOT TRUST HER.
