Description: The Elgin Child & Family Resource Center, accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), has 13 classrooms, a large indoor gym and three separate outdoor play spaces. The center offers Preschool for All along with three dual-language classrooms, bilingual staff and a full-day kindergarten program.
Our Healthy Lifestyles curriculum emphasizes classroom discussions about healthy eating, cooking projects that introduce nutritious snacks, activities that encourage movement and environmental awareness through gardening and recycling.
Elgin Child & Family Resource Center supports family involvement in the center with parent meetings, conferences and parent-child events. The site has an open-door policy, which welcomes families to visit and interact with their child throughout the day.
