Plan: As a program, our agency provides staff with Professional Development Days. Our trainings consist of Conscious Discipline Trainings on how to regulate emotions and redirect big behaviors. Our Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Clinicians provide social emotional development coaching. Our Instructional Coaches help mentor and support teachers in the classroom with the Conscious Discipline curriculum to help support the trainings that teachers obtain. For future compliance we will make sure that teachers are following our disciplinary policies and procedures that are stated in our early childhood services employee handbook. Staff sign a MOU once a year that also addresses the policy and procedures for appropriate discipline. Leadership sends out weekly newsletters with reminders of appropriate discipline measures and Conscious Discipline tools to use.
