My child was enrolled for four years. I was satisfied with the quality of service received up until my child's last few months at the facility. As with many toddlers, they will misbehave; however, the delivery of the messages from the director of the program was quite inappropriate at times. When addressing a parent about their child, one should not use negative words to describe a child such as crazy and maniac. I feel as though the director would take her frustration out on the parents and that should not take place. My child remained in the facility for four years because I was satisfied with the teachers and the collaborative efforts of the teachers and the directors for the most part. They were extremely understanding when our family experienced hardships, and we are truly grateful for them. Ms. Dawn and Ms.Angela's peaceful spirit was always comforting and assuring. My child learned a lot; however, he left the facility feeling like he was a "bad" child as a result of some of the negative words that were used in his presence. As an educator, I understand the frustration that comes with working with children and adults; moreover, as a parent, I understand how it feels to have someone speak negatively about my child, so it is imperative for us (Educators) to take a step back and reflect on a situation before responding, especially when speaking to parents about their children.
