Provider Response: (Contact the State Licensing Office for more information.) Staff member #1 was terminated from employment. Director had a meeting with the entire staff, discussing the importance of how we handle children, talk to them, the proper way to pick them up, and under no circumstances are we to be physically/harmful to a child in any way. Director discussed the importance of walking away and asking for help when you feel yourself becoming frustrated. There is always someone available to step in and help. All staff will be attending the concise discipline training on November 1st, concentrating on children and their defiant behavior and how to handle that and build strong, healthy relationships with children even during those frustrating times. |
