Description: Early Explorers is a federally-funded program offering child development services at no charge to our families. In addition to following state licensing regulations, we must also follow the federal Performance Standards set for all Head Start programs. One of these standards is to remain fully enrolled at all times , to maintain a waiting list of eligible applicants to fill any vacancies as soon as possible and to be actively recruiting families at all times. For this reason, we have discussed leaving our vacancy numbers at a 1 at all times, for all age groups, so that our program always populates when parents are looking for care.
