About the Provider
DuPage Montessori School is a private, non-profit educational institution affiliated with the American Montessori Society and registered with the Illinois State Board of Education. Founded in 1987 by Robert and Sharon Breen, the school has grown in response to community interest in Montessori education. We offer programs for children ages 15 months through 14 years. Commitment is the most important part of our relationship with our students and their families. By focusing on each child as a unique individual, we offer learning experiences that satisfy each child's interests and needs. Workshops and other events for parents are offered throughout the year. Parents may also support or join the Parent Task Force, which works on fundraising, community projects, and school events. Parental support comes naturally as you connect with the educational process, and thus the school becomes an important part of the community.
Our mission is to help your child build the foundation for a happy and capable adolescence and adulthood.
We encourage children to exercise good judgment, cooperate with others, and use self-discipline--to develop values and skills that allow each child to become an important member of the social group. Daily discoveries and new experiences create a thirst for more knowledge, preparing your child for all that life has to offer.
