Beware of this daycare!! I used to really like this daycare however there were issues that I want anyone bringing their child here to know!
When my son was in the infant room just before he turned one I got a call that he fell and chipped his tooth, it was described as very small. That evening when I picked him up what was described to be as a little chip was not even close. The daycare lied to make it sound better and the chip was like half his front top tooth. I asked what happened and I was told they didn't know. How do you not know? And that he didn't cry which is hard to believe because he cries when he falls on his butt when he is wearing a diaper. They didn't notice until they were changing him and saw the chip. We went to the dentist and were told they think it was just shy of the nerve. The dentist told us that it seems impossible noone knew because the impact for how bad the chip is was pretty substantial. However he told us we needed to wait and see what the tooth would do. Almost a year later we went back to the dentist to have another cray done and found out that it in fact did go into the nerve and we needed to have it removed sooner rather than later because it would turn bad, the tooth was blackening and would constantly get infections until we had it removed, and could cause issues with permanent teeth coming in. Something this extensive and noone knew what happened, the teacher could only make guesses on what she thinks could have. None of which explained the amount of force for this chip. We went to childrens and had the tooth removed the cost of this was around $7,000 I think a little more but I don't have the different bills in front of me at the moment. It took sometime to get all the bill's due to moving and 3 different bills since Emory was involved too. I sent everything over and was missing one of their forms, eventually I got that over to the daycare as well, I have not heard from them since. It didn't stop there though. I have a picture of an adult size claw mark on his neck. I noticed as we were getting in the car after pick up. I marched right back inside to ask why I was not contacted as I am always contacted when there has been some sort of injury or issue but not for this, and no boo boo report. There were only to teachers there when I picked up and they looked all over the place for a boo boo report, none was found. The next day all of a sudden there was a booboo report and I was told it was on the counter in his room (the toddler room). Which was funny because I personally looked for it. So I don't believe one was even done, and the teacher did it the next day. I was told it was a child that did the scratch. I still have the photo and I showed many people and even one of the teachers whom when I told the story I got about it being from another child age 2 mind you. The other teacher's expression said it all! At this point I started looking at other daycares, which I should have done after the first incident. We were potty training and a different teacher was switched into the class, she was involved in the previous incident. She was terrible with potty training; not consistent at all. He was doing so good at potty training with our ups and downs of course. She would not work with me at all and seemed to just be pure lazy! our son came home with a absolutly horrific diaper rash. So horrific we screamed in pain when we would get near his butt. It looked about how it felt. Every teacher was warned that he has butt paste and if he poops he needs it on his butt paste that was provided. When Monday came I asked this incompetent teacher why wasn't his cream put on his butt. She gave an attitude and said it was, I explained it was clear that none was used, I asked her to get his butt cream, and watched her scramble to find it. It was in the very back behind a ton of stuff, It was obvious she never used it like instructed. I caught her multiple times on her phone. These are the teachers this school has! She is still employed there, only moved back to her original class. Don't go here! Learning material like calendars and stuff that was suppose to be used was never current, other teachers told me after I complained about teaching issues that they noticed the toddler teachers finally did activites and they were so surprised at what they saw. Since we changed daycares we noticed a tremendous difference in our son's learning. This daycare should be investigated and should really be shut down. The owner of this franchise is very rude and should not be in the position she is. The outside playground is terrible that even the teachers admit when it rains they can't go out for like a week, and they wished upper management would do something about it. The daycare we are at now doesn't have these issues. The obviously are more concerned with making money and not investing it in the business to better it for our children.
