About the Provider

Description:

Our family child care offers a warm, loving and quality home-like setting -- a natural environment for children during early childhood -- while providing consistent care for infants, toddlers, preschool and school age children.

We provide a safe, inviting space and nurturing care complete with educational activities designed to meet the needs and interests of all children while promoting individual development.

Your children's development, happiness, and health is our number one priority. In addition to a safe and helpful environment, we take daily trips to local parks and serve nutritional meals to establish a healthy lifestyle for each child.

Rides to and from school, if needed, are included as well for both the morning and afternoon.

As a mother of two myself (now 17 and 18 respectively), and running a child care for over 14 years, I understand the needs and concerns that many parents have and try to make you and your child as comfortable in our care as possible. Daily updates are given through messages/pictures sent to your phone (if wanted), as well as at pick up.

We also accept Naccrra, Military Fee assistance Programs, and we offer a sibling discount.

Have had a few strange incidents.
The husband, "Ricky" or "Ricardo" is ruining everything , as far as I can tell.
He's unnecessarily there and is not nice to the children.
He is rude to parents as well.
I would agree, the pricing is a bit ridiculous.
Glad there are so many other options for military families.
I just wish Ricardo would be out of the picture but that won't happen!

Hit my child
The Husband told my child he hates him, he’s dumb, nobody likes you. Filed a police report on the whole facility! Stay away from this place at all cost! Currently going through the restraining order process to keep them away from my child and me.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My family has been going to Sandra's for years now. I just recently had another baby and was happy to have him at Sandra's, like my other children before him. With all the horror stories about day care facilities lately it's nice to know my children are in a safe and loving environment. Sandra has always been very attentive to my children and their needs. I receive updates on their behavior, well being, health and activities throughout the day which gives me peace of mind. The daycare will let me know if my children are sick but it's more to let me know rather than pressure me to come pick the them up. I've only ever had to pick them up if they were vomiting or their fever was unusually high, which is the norm for a day care facility. I've never had a problem with rates. I would like to add that while no one is perfect, kids or adults, I do get a sense that Sandra genuinely cares for these children and does everything in her power to make the daycare a fun, safe, and enjoyable place for all. My kids are happy there and therefore so am I. I have recommend her to several friends, and will continue to do so.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

We have been taking my son to this daycare since he was about two months old and our experience has been nothing but positive! It has now been approximately three years and the care he receives is what you would expect from one’s own family. We were initially referred to the daycare by an acquaintance who spoke highly of Sandra and Ricardo. I was a bit hesitant about a home daycare but my wife convinced me to try it and I am extremely thankful that we did. First and foremost is the quality of care they provide which is the highest of quality. They are attentive and openly communicate with us about our son’s day and health. One of the best details we found is when we are at work and receive a random picture text from the daycare showing us what our little guy is up to! Another positive is the rates! They are priced beyond fair given the amazing service they provide. They have different options for payment to work with whatever frequency of pay you might receive. Another positive note is that they are hardly ever closed! They mostly close for the federal holidays which they post ahead of time for us to plan around. In very rare occasions they have to close for personal matters which is understandable but we are notified well in advance. Finally, it would be unfair not to mention the other caregiver at this place by the name of Susana who provides care for our son on par with the care provided by the owners! I believe the best sign to a good daycare is the reaction from your child when attending. With that being said, my son is ALWAYS excited to go to Nana’s (Sandra) house to spend the day with all of his friends.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Today the owner Sandra suddenly called me to pick up my daughter because she was crying and couldn't handle it. Its normal for kids to cry for their mother and if you aren't trained to handle kids moodswings, then I don't know why you have a daycare. Now I am stuck without daycare and scrambling to find another sitter. I higgly disrecommend.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

It started off pretty well after our first meeting. They were very welcoming and seemed like a very friendly home care my kids. We asked them to enroll into NACCRA and which they did. However, we didn't see any decrease in our initial pricing. The price went up after six months and then about three months later it went up again. Another later, the price increased again and the claim that NACCRA lowered their support to out needs. We've taken our kids out but after doing some homework, I realized that NACCRA actually provides a great amount of support to families that are based on their income. I know for a fact that a couple makes more than my spouse combined yet they pay a much lower rate than we did and that they did not get any increase as we did. Mind you, these parents also have the same amount of kids as we do about the same age. Sandra is caring and very at tentative to the kids. However, her husband who runs her business for her collecting all the checks and making sure we signed the log each day is what will bring this business to the grown. He always seemed annoyed with all the kids and treated them unlike Sandra. They never gave us the courtesy to tell us in advance that they will be gone for a long weekend, and always expects the parents to pick up the children 5 hours early on Fridays. They don't return texts nor phone calls, but surely if your child is sick they are quick to want to get rid of them. Granted I'm sure some parents don't mind the scam they are running because they are treated well. But ever since my spouse told Ricky to not interrupt when talking to Sandra because they wanted to raise the price on us and we wanted to know why he has had a thing against us. We haven't taken the kids there in two days because we don't want their crappy service anymore and they have yet to call and ask if we plan on taking them in this week. It shows that they wanted us out. Because just last week I was asked randomly if we will be taking the kids out which was never our intent in the first place. After analyzing everything we realized that they didn't like the fact we questioned their integrity. We referred a friend and they over charged her each week and she notified them that she will not take her child back the following week. So they told her that they were closed after handing them a check for the whole week. So the husband went over to talk to them and said to give their money back, which they insisted so he told them they will be talking to his lawyer and all of a sudden they were open again. So you decide if this place is right for you.

This is an outstanding daycare. My girls have been attending Ms. Sandra's for almost a year and a half, and they absolutely love it, as do we. Since I have been here, I have never seen any increased prices, nor any unfair incidents. They handle the children, incidents, and parents with tact and very respectfully. As far as the turnover rate, there is not a large one. The same set of children we have seen there for years. Turnover normally happens when parents find new jobs or the children start kindergarten. Absolutely amazing daycare. I am so thankful that our friends recommended her.

My kids had been on this Day Care for many years, since babies, and we only have wonderful words for describing the excellent Day Care ,Mrs. Sandra is really a very loving and caring person ,her helper and family too, my kids learned and had very good manners, educational skills, and they are very nice, thanks to de daily very good example and educational activities they had. I do not agree at all with the negative review posted on 2012,12-31, I have never seen nothing like mentioned there. I have only nice words and a very good experience with This Day Care

Increased price 3x within one year. Has a report made against them and did not disclose this until after we signed on with them. Very rude to deal with. They are ok to the children from what I've seen, although I have seen an unfair incident with another child. Turnover rate of kids in their care is high. Do your research with them prior to agreeing to allow your child in their care. Husband smokes. Charges higher than most daycares. Wish I had reviews to read about them.
