Crescent City Christian Day Care

As a new mom it is very difficult to leave you child with someone you barley know. We were in need of child care after our last sister had a family emergency and was no longer able to provide care for our 6 month old. We were wait list at all the daycare in the area. We applied her after a recommendation from a friend. CCC had a spot and we could start in December. Due to COVID restrictions at the time time they never allowed tours, meet the caregivers, are even allowed us to view the room. We were not allowed to go past the lobby for pick up or drop off. And most of the time the foot staff was bring the babies/children to the parents. So you couldn't even interact with person that has been caring for your child for 8 hours. The communication sheets sent home lacked very little information about how the day went except if they ate or had a messy diaper. I had to request multiple times for information. Especially what the nap schedule looked like and if they stuck to the feeding schedule we follow at home. On several instances they skipped a bottle and only have baby food. Which I instructed was only extra to go after getting a bottle, because breast milk was still our primary source of all nutrition. When we would pick up my babies face was never cleaned and still had food from the noon feeding on it. Clothing was always coming back filthy from crawling around, which makes me think they were not cleaning the rooms adequately. The final straw that made me pull my child from this ELC was that one day the said the baby refused a bottle, when asked if they could warm a bottle so that I could give it before leaving. They rewarded the same breast milk bottle from hours earlier.
That was the last day that I left my child in their care.
