About the Provider
Creekside Kids is an independently owned and operated childcare center located in the Canon School. Modeled after the Reggio Emilia philosophy, our curriculum emphasizes scientific inquiry, exploration and discovery along with phonological awareness and early literacy skills. Care is available on a flexible basis with care options including drop-in, hourly, and full time care. Care is subject to availability. Parents may select from a menu of care levels based upon the needs of their family.
Co-owner Jennifer Barnes, MA-Special Education, was a special education teacher for 6 years and a literacy specialist in Cheyenne Mountain School District for 4 years. CO-Owner David Williams, MA-Science Curriculum and Instruction, was a science teacher and Science Olympiad coach at Cheyenne Mountain High School for 15 years and is currently the Technology Coordinator for CMHS. Center Director Veronica Clayton, BA-Interdisciplinary Studies, Director of Education for Sylvan Learning Center for 4 years, taught at Sylvan for 2 years, and taught elementary school in Harrison School District for 2 years.
