This center appeared to be the answer to dreams. I had recently moved to the apartments that are located within walking distace of. They offer very flexible payment options with the parent being allowed to pay for 1 week up to 1 month depending on what works for the parent.
However, after only attending 11 days I was told that my son was basically no longer welcome. Now I am not one of those parents with rose colored glasses, my son is by no means perfect. He is however a typical 3 almost 4 year old, and with our move he is adjusting to a new school, a new home, and his father is no longer with us. During this 11 day period I was notified on 3 occasions that he had not had a "good" day. I discussed with the staff options we might have or how we could better be consistant with him. We arrived on the 11th day, (the 3rd "conversation" being on the 10th day) to be told that "they did not know what to do with my son". I was never called during the day to be either informed or asked to pick up my son, so this was a very shocking revelation that we would need to find a new school. Now the challenging behaviors were yelling (temper tantrums, and not listening and following the directives of the staff. One of these episodes happened during a "tour" of a potential family, so I am sure this was part of the reason this was seen as such an issue.
So I was told that my child is too disruptive and needed to find a new school within 1 week (this is because I had already paid for this time I am certain). My child did not harm any other children, or do anything other then have a difficult transition (which he was not even given the time to work through). Eleven days does not even allow a new routine to be established.
So my negative rating is more so due to the fact that we were not given time to adjust to a very different school environment (he previous attended a YMCA with over 300 students, and much more "active" time, swim lessons, daily gym time etc.).
So unless your child is very calm, quiet, and adjusts rapidly to a new enviornment please be careful or you may find yourself looking for a new center very soon.
