Description:
The field of early childhood education is fairly new and continues to develop as we learn more about how young children learn. Every parent knows that their young child, while amazingly brilliant, thinks and learns differently than they do as an adult. Still, many programs try to educate young children in ways that are more suited to adult learners. Academic programs that rely on rote learning and expect children to memorize and practice drills are actually reminiscent of the way our grandparents were schooled.
At Creative World, our teachers have high expectations for young children, but recognize that they learn in unique ways and use techniques that are tailored for the age and ability of the child. Instead of attempting to cover skills, we integrate them daily into our curriculum. We engage children's intellect by focusing on how children learn and process information. Their questions become the basis of our teaching and through investigating questions and continuous assessment, children become lifelong learners. Weekly, children participate in experiences that promote their cognitive, social and physical development. Instead of merely considering a checklist of accomplishments, we combine experiential activities and interesting content to educate every child to their potential.

EST. 1970…and still growing!
It is because we know childcare that we have had a long history of success. Our founders, Billie and Duane McCabe opened their first school in Independence, Missouri in 1970. Their unique vision was quickly embraced as they expanded and operated up to 45 childcare centers in seven states.
The Creative World School tradition has bridged generations as their daughters became part of the company. Their youngest daughter, Dr. Marianne Whitehouse, combines the experience of being raised in Creative World School with a Ph.D. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education in her position as President. This dynamic family team began franchising in 1999. Now there are a total of 22 schools in 5 states and growing.
This past year, over 4,000 families chose Creative World School to educate and care for their young children. We are looking for committed individuals that share our vision to continue our story in the future.
We opened our doors in 2002, and our state of the art facility has quality, age appropriate classrooms ready for learning and fun for Infants through School Age children.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
