About the Provider

Description: Our program at Creative Minds Preschool is based on the philosophy that all children are exceptional and unique individuals. We understand these are the most important years in a child’s development. We believe that children learn best through active participation with their environment and with other people. Therefore, we support a hands-on approach to learning for all ages. Teachers act as facilitators by providing a variety of opportunities and experiences to promote learning and growth in all areas; language, cognitive, emotional, social and physical development.

At Creative Minds Preschool, we recognize the importance of the child’s family and encourage their participation in decisions about their own child’s care, education and on the overall program. We respect and support each family and their diverse backgrounds, beliefs and input. We believe it is important for parents and teachers to communicate and we invite all parents to stop in anytime to see their child. We encourage parent involvement in the classroom and program planning.

Concerned caller 2018-05-08 16:46:14

I recently spoke with Liz Peloquin on the phone and she was very rude and unprofessional. It makes me wonder if you speak to someone that you don't even know, how do you speak to your children, staff, and employee's? So glad that phone call will be the only encounter I will ever have with her!

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Had HIGH hopes. Started out child there at age of 1. The classrooms and teachers for the first 2 years were great. Caring, attentive and always put your child first. Once our child made it into the young threes it all changed. In that classroom our child's medication was lost, sent home quite frequently with dried poop on the inside of their pants, allowed to get sunburned to the point of bad eczema outbreak which when brought to admins attention would not even look at The pictures showing the outbreak of a child having to soak in an oatmeal bath. Upon looking further into it we found that the teachers in the same room where best friends with the main admin/owner. Who is more concerned with a friendship then the proper care of your child. They give out daily report cards and to their own admission would go up to five to six hours without changing our child's diaper. We were fighting horrible diaper rashes not knowing why until we looked further into it. If you watch the teachers outside they huddle around the fence and Gossip. they are not interacting with your child. We went to numerous times to the admin to NO avail AND smoke and mirrors. And if you happen to really watch and really look at the way this facility is run you will find they know how to prep for a visit very very well. They have some amazing teachers lost in a sea of drama. If you are buddy buddy friends with the admins you'll get along great but if you call them out for improper care of your child they are unequipped to step up and handle it. It will remind you of high school. We moved our child and in the first month noticed a complete turnaround in attitude, learning development, spelling of their own name and more. I have several friends who still have children at this location who are older than my child who cannot write their name spell their name or any other basic fundamentals of that they should be learning. These parents are on waiting list at other day cares. They have so many admins they cannot afford propper playground equipment and if you look at the toys inside they are hand-me-downs and donated from Parents, or bought by the teachers themselves. I know we donated plenty. I also know Our experience is not alone there are others. So before you get caught up in a five star rating take a look at the classrooms look at the engagement and watch the admins huddle up in their office. But when they know they've entered the month of receiving a state visit all of a sudden no one's in the offices everyone's in a classroom everything is clean and if you don't believe me go into the Young's threes bathroom while they're outside playing you will find poop smeared everywhere and urine on the floor because they don't care. Your child is a number to the admins. They will over pack classrooms on good teacher who can old do but so much. Rooms are overstuffed and when I complained the main owner said she was in that classroom helping. When I left, I came back and parked around he side, came back in and she was huddled in the office gossiping. She saw me, and hauled tail back into my child's classroom. I'm not an idiot. I knew she was not staying in there. Im sure the state would love to know that.

This preschool is well worth every bit of the 5-stars it has been rated. The staff is phenomenal and provide service above and beyond just caring for your child! The curriculum is advanced and I see it in my 1 and 4-year olds behavior and communication level. I absolutely love this preschool. Great job Ms. Liz. and staff!
