I’m not one to usually post stuff like this, but I feel like I need to warn other parents. My child has been at creative kids since October of 2020. We’ve had multiple incidents of him coming home with knots, bruises, and scratches. The teachers never know where they come from. Recently on our way home from daycare, I realized he had 3 large scratches (one of them was bleeding) on his belly. I immediately called the school and asked if they knew what happened. After being transferred to his teacher, I was then told “him and another child were having a tickle fight this afternoon. That’s probably what happened”. The following day I brought him back to daycare and asked to watch the cameras (was denied because of their policy). Still, nobody had an answer. Even the girl at the front said she didn’t think it was from a “tickle fight”. Before leaving I asked that the director call me after they watch the cameras. Today, I had to call the daycare (because I was never called) to find out what happened. According to the director “9 minutes after he was dropped off he looked like he was scratching himself because he itched”. If it had happened 9 minutes after he was dropped off, why would the teacher have used the afternoon tickle fight as a possible reason? She should’ve noticed it when changing his diaper throughout the day if it really happened 9 minutes after he arrived that morning. I’m 100% not buying their excuses.
