Description: For over thirty years, Country Day School has served the families of our community through the education and nurturing of children. Our school began as an early childhood program, later expanding to include elementary grades kindergarten through fifth at our mid-town campus. In addition to our mid town campus preschool, there are three CDS early childhood programs located in the south Baton Rouge area.
What makes our school different? We believe that each child is a unique individual with experiences, abilities, talents and feelings all his own. It is our mission to preserve this uniqueness while providing opportunities for children to be part of a learning community. Our state Class A early childhood program and our state-accredited elementary program are designed not merely to help a child acquire information, but to help them learn to think independently, draw conclusions, express their thoughts, and to respect the ideas of others. We believe the early experiences in a child’s education will establish the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Our mission is to make a difference one child at a time.
