We have had our son at Cornerstone for about 2 years. It was great when we started and we were trusting them with his care... but that did not last. He started as an infant and was mostly well taken care of, but diapers were not changed regularly and although he was not fussy, other children were not comforted or cared for when they were basically drowning in their own spit and not sleeping well at all. Then he went to the 1s room, which was a fantastic experience! He was so loved by those ladies and thrived, even while administration changes declined the quality of the center. However, we're now in the 2s room and care quality has plummeted more... he cries before arriving each day and his behavior has declined even when working with him at home. The advanced 2s room seems worse with a lot more teachers yelling at children and more tantrums... we have a spot at a new daycare and are awaiting his start date next month.
- To summarize: if your child is an infant or 2-3 years old, don't go here.
my son was here for a few months, and I couldn't have asked for a better center to send him to. the teachers took the time to get to know him, they loved him, they were always sad to see him leave. the director took the time to get to know the parents individually, and knew us all by name. they made my sons experience great, he was upset when he didn't go to school and didn't want to leave. I loved the Christian based curricula as well. I wouldn't send my child anywhere else and I recommend them to any one and everyone looking for childcare in the augusta area.
NO NO NO!!!! Whatever you do, DO NOT send your child to this center. They do not care for the needs of your child like they should. My daughter was there less than 2 weeks bc of the lack of care given to her! No, regular diaper changes, no regular napping schedule, all the babies where is very bad moods when I would pick my daughter up, crying screaming, begging for someone to pay attention to them for more than a minute, lack of staff. Im sorry but 16 babies under a year old should have more than just two teachers in a room. I was NOT going to subject my baby to that. Think long and hard before deciding where to place your sweet angel.
