I have my daughter in vpk at there other facility and I love it. She loves it. The infant toddler center I was extremely unhappy with. I placed my 2 yr old son there. The director was unhappy right off the bat because the vpk center already quoted me a price. That should have been my first sign not to bring him there. I only used them for a few days. One day I picked him up and his shorts were very wet with pee. I didn't notice at first because he was walking but when I we got to the car he told me his shorts were wet. I checked and one pant leg was completely wet. I was extremely upset. I decided not to go back in so I didn't yell or curse, saying something I might regret especially in front of my son and other children. I changed him in the car. His pull up was dry! Which means one of two things happened. My son peed out and they changed him and put wet shorts back on him! OR he somehow got another childs pee on him! Both are gross and neither is exceptable! I decided to call the next day after I had calmed down and the director Dawn didn't seem to care much. After explaining what happened and my son would not be returning. She said maybe he sat in a wet area on the playground. I replied no it is definitely pee. It smelled super strong. There was no question. She replied "well I'm sorry things didn't work out." The conversation ended. So after paying the registration fee and two weeks up front of my hard earned money was wasted!
At first it was a nice place for my son go to. Everyone was nice too. kinda dirty I had asked multiple times for them to vacuum. I noticed my son was coming home in someone else's diapers. Well the facility moved for toddlers only on the other side of town. Then more problems started to happen every week. The director gets a little snotty with me about everything. I'm the costumer and I pay you to take care of my child. I have gave it a chance after chance. Some of the teachers like to speak their mind and say whatever they want to you. Giving me dirty looks. Then act nice to my face when it's time to pay every week. My son gets fussy at times like every toddler and instead of dealing with the issue they call me to pick him up right away and say he has a fever. 90% of the time no fever he is fine when we get home. Running around. Even took him to the docs. No problem. They lost his clothes/blankets/sheets. I stopped bringing them in. Also my son started to bite more. They would just put him in time out. That didn't work. Some other kids bit him too now my 22 month old is dismissed from the daycare. I can't believe they would do that to him. He is really sweet. He bites at times either when another child bites him or has a toy taken away or he is just tired. The other parents complained one day and she surprisingly terminated my son while I was at work. Told me the day before she would never do that. They will work with him more. They know he is sweet boy. she called me and said if I don't pick him up he will be in the play pen all day. If he comes back the next day he will be in the play pen again. I went to go get him. She totally yelled at me in front of her staff. I'm glad I'm finally done with this place after giving it way too many chances. I also found out from other people that the Some of the teachers say bad things about the parents to thier friends. I heard that one of them said I don't buy diapers for my son. That's false. I bring in 15 diapers a week which is plenty...and I know they could use them on the other kids too. If I bring in a box that would be gone in a heartbeat. Glad we get to start fresh with a new childcare center that actually cares for my child and gives him the attention he needs.
