About the Provider

Description: Hi! My name is Mindy Coleman. I am the owner/operator of Learn & Play Daycare. Since becoming a State Licensed Daycare, I have realized how fortunate I am. Every day I get to do what I love: nurture and educate children. This is my passion and a responsibility I take very seriously. My philosophy is “educate through play.” We encourage education through creative play with a wide variety of educational toys. Our staff has several years of experience educating children working within the school system and a school dedicated to special needs children. Preschool is offered at no additional charge to children who are 3 & 4 years old. We have a strict curriculum in place. Beginning with the basics, they start working with tracing their name, coloring, and shape and name recognition. As they begin to pass these off, the challenges become slightly harder but are age appropriate and still lots of fun. We have a daily schedule and a structured environment. We promote self-esteem and encourage self-help skills. We offer a fun and safe environment for your child to explore their creativity by keeping them engaged in fun activities, whether it’s playing on the floor or making snacks. In addition, we offer three nutritionally balanced meals a day and snacks in between. We promote education: our mission is to get the children in our care excited about learning! If you would like more information or have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
