Christ The King School Pre-kindergarten

Christ the King School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the Diocese of Nashville and Tennessee State Department of Education. Our students are challenged in a strong academic and faith-filled community. We have faculty who focus on specialized areas such as Math, Reading, Science, Art and Spanish as well as learning specialists for Talented and Gifted and Remediation. Further, our faculty members are life-long learners with over fifty-four percent holding advanced degrees. In the Pre-Kindergarten, the class will use Frog Street Press, Handwriting Without Tears, and Fundations. Each month in Frog Street Press, the class will have a theme that involves reading, math, science and social studies. The handwriting program uses wood pieces, songs, and other activities to teach writing. It also teaches children to add features in drawing people. Fundations begins with letter names, sounds and formation. The program continues through teaching blending of sounds and sentences. In religion, the class will be learning the different aspects of the faith through the Allelu program. The prayers recited daily are the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Angel of God, and Grace before meals.
