Orginally, I assumed this was a unique center but now I am realizing this center is far from unique. It is pure chaos. Many of the staff working under Treena are not as qualified as the parents think, i.e. there are some teachers who are only aid qualified running their own classes. It has been my experience that the owner talks about all of her staff to other members creating a disfunctional setting. Her staff members seem bitter and overwhelmed. I've noticed that she uses bullying as a tactic and way of communication; especially with the older staff members who cannot easily find another job. After some odd days of working for her I realized that she was not very open to staff creativity: decorations, activity, and play. She never introduces new staff to senior staff and she does not give the warm welcome she appears to have. The center would greatly improve if she took communication 101 and paid her staff what they are qualified to make. The children at the center are angels, but they are treated unfairly. They are never in the classes in which they were enrolled and the parents are being deceived about what their children are really learning. Her concern is not the children. She only cares about avoiding staff overtime, the latest gossip, and her stupid decorations. Be aware
My children have attended Childtime Belcamp for years. The staff have always greeted us with a smile and the management is always available when I have a question. Both of my kids are excited to go to school everyday. The place is clean and organized. I have recommended several families and they now attend. Great place to send your kids!
I have two boys at the school and it just seems like chaos. A lot of the teachers, especially in the older classes don't seem to care as much. Everytime I pick up my infant, I can tell by his face that he has been crying a lot. I hope others will share their positive or negative stories b/c no one else has so far. Being part of NACCRA, this one of the only programs that accepts it in the surrounding area. On the other hand, Treena, the director seems pretty nice and helpful.
