Chicot Elementary Care Program

Chicot Primary School and Early Childhood Center's mission is "to provide a structured and supported learning atmosphere which will develop the needs of the whole child by fostering a safe, nurturing, highly accountable learning environment that will prepare students to become responsible, productive life long learners". Chicot serves approximately 800 three-year-old to 2nd grade students with an experienced, caring, and dedicated staff. The school is located in the wonderful communities of southwest Little Rock.

The primary school is led under the direction of Principal Sherry Chambers and Assistant Principal Tina Greenwood. There are eleven classes of kindergarteners, nine first grade classes and seven 2nd grade classes. All students in grades K-2 attend art, music, physical education, computer, media, GT enrichment and guidance classes. The Principal/ECC Coordinator Yvonne Jones oversees the Early Childhood Center. The center has twelve classes of three and four year olds.
