I toured this facility, because I wanted to have my child in a home setting instead of a commercial daycare. There is one lady, who occasionally has her daughter help. It looked to be way too many children for one person. There was barely any toys for the kids to play with. The ones I seen looked old and were visibly dirty. I seen two children sharing a bottle while I was there. Nothing looked to be labeled. She had bottles and cups sitting all around the room the children were in. Milk just sitting there not refrigerated for who knows how long. She said she provides meals, but did not ask at all what my child’s dietary restrictions and preferences were. She did not ask for any insurance information or medical physical like previous daycares have. When I brought it up, she said she didn’t need them. There was a huge dog, that was in the other room. There was dog hair and dust everywhere. The entire home smelled of pet urine. It was noticeable that the home wasn’t cleaned consistently. The flooring in the main room had things crusted onto it. She claimed the dog doesn’t come into the main room, where the children were but when I asked about it I overheard a child say that she lets the dog out and it has scratched them before. When touring the backyard, there was visible dog poop everywhere. When I called about touring the place before even going, I overheard her screaming at a child to be quiet which bothered me but I ignored my gut feeling. While there, I wish I never went against my first instinct.. the place is disgustingly dirty and very unprofessional. I wouldn’t want my child eating there, let alone to be taken care of by this lady.
