I personally witnessed my child being physically abused by another child on three separate occasions/days. First incident:abusive child stomping on my daughters fingers(day 1), 2nd incident (day 2): Same child, slapped my daughter in the face so hard that he knocked her to the ground. I immediately asked both teachers to address this abusive behavior with the child's parents. I also notified the Director who guaranteed that she would personally address to the parents. 3rd incident (day 3): same child pushed my daughter so hard that when she fell on the ground she received a carpet burn under her chin. I asked both teachers if they had spoken to this kids parents, they both responded "NO". I asked the Director if she had spoken to the kids parent, she also said "NO". I then requested for my child to be moved to a different classroom. Director stated that she would "be in touch". She never did make contact with me. When I personally asked for a resolution, the Director (and her asst director) both stated that "it is Catholic Charities Policy not to move ANY child UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!! After wasting my time with the main office Director on Pecos street for two weeks, I was given "no guarantee" that my daughter would be moved. After almost two years, I was given no choice but to remove my daughter from that abusive environment. PARENTS BEWARE!!! IF YOUR CHILD IS BEING PHYSICALLY ABUSED BY ANOTHER, YOU WILL BE TREATED THE SAME WAY! Do yourself a favor, save yourself a lot of time and grief, and look for a daycare that will provide a safe environment for your child, regardless of the circumstance! This incident all happened at their facility on 11th & Decatur street in Denver.
