Jamie and Jay are the type of people you dream about finding while looking for someone to care for your children. They watch our youngest (2) full time, and our oldest (5) if they have openings on days when school is out. We came here from a large center where the teachers were constantly swapping out and our kids begged not to go every day. Now they're excited to go see Jamie and Jay! Jamie has planned activities that kids of all ages can participate in and enjoy. A week or two after starting here, my (newly) two year old was counting to twenty on the way home every day, over and over and over, haha. As others have said, this is a preschool, not a "babysitter".
Count yourself lucky if you can manage to get on the wait list here. You know that parental guilt you feel when you go to work and let someone else raise your kid? We don't feel that at all taking our kids to Jamie and Jay, they're fantastic!
Jamie and Jay have cared for our girls for over 4 years. They are absolutely amazing. We are so very lucky to have them in our lives and we couldn't ask for better people to care for our kids every day. They create a fantastic learning environment and support our kids growth and development in every way. They work every day to create engaging and fun activities that help our girls learn and they are dedicated to making sure the kids are ready with everything they need to know to enter the school system. We could never thank them enough for all that they do for our girls and our family. Jamie and Jay are the gold star, best of the best of childcare/school!
My son has been with Jamie for 4 years now and I feel so incredibly lucky to have found her. She constantly makes theme weeks with new activities that she never seems to repeat. The facilities are clean and they take pride in their health and safety policies, which has meant a lot to my family during the pandemic. The biggest compliment I can leave is that my son often asks to go daycare on the weekends since he misses it when he's not there.
My son started attending Bright Beginnings when he was about 2 and 1/2, and still attends occasionally when there is no school.
Jamie and Jay are great. Bright Beginnings is not a typical “in home” daycare, and is ran more like a preschool. My son he learned a lot from Jamie, and was very prepared for kindergarten. Jamie always plans great crafts to go with the theme for the week, and does a fantastic job at tailoring learning for different ages. The facility is clean, and the food always looks and smells delicious.
We met Jamie through a childcare center in Pullman before she opened her in-home daycare. When we heard that she was opening her daycare, we knew right away that we wanted to follow her. We had a wonderful experience and more importantly our son loved Jamie (and still asks about her almost 6 years later). I have recommended Jamie at any chance I get. She works with the children and parents to meet the needs of the families. Having Jamie as a partner in our son's care was one of the best things we have done. We highly recommend Jamie!
Our son has been cared for by Jamie since November of 2020, and he has been THRIVING here. He loves all of his friends, and loves Teacher Jamie and her family. He's often having so much fun at pick up time that he doesn't want to leave. We've been truly lucky and blessed to find such a loving and experienced caretaker for our kiddo!
Jamie has been providing care for our son since he was 2 (and as a baby before she opened her own center), and he's now 10. My son still begs to go every day, because she structures the day around the children, their interests and their needs. Jamie is organized, thoughtful, and you can see how much the children adore her. If you have an opportunity to have your children cared for by Jamie, you are getting the best of the best!
Best daycare in the world! I wouldn't go anywhere else. We met Jamie when she worked for a day care center and when she opened her own daycare, we had to follow her. She is wonderful with kids, organized, loving, and has extensive early childhood education experience. Good child care is very important, and we hit a gold mine finding Jamie.
