About the Provider
Casa Central’s Child Development Program has provided child care programming in the Humboldt Park, West town, Logan Square and Hermosa neighborhoods for over 30 years. This gem of a daycare provides a nurturing, structured environment for children ages 2-5 years to learn and grow. The program offers bilingual and bicultural services to students and their families and is welcoming to children with special needs. This economically diverse program is designed for working families, and is open from 7am-6pm Monday through Friday.
Casa Central’s Child Development Program, one of three programs at Casa Central providing early childhood educational services, was established in 1997; however, as an organization, Casa Central has been providing daycare services to families for over 35 years. Casa Central established its first early childhood program in 1976, providing much needed child care services to 40 children on Chicago's Northwest side. Over the years Casa Central’s early learning program has expanded to three locations, serving 285 children ages 2-5 years.
Casa Central was founded in 1954 by a multi-denominational group of churches to provide social services to the Hispanic population. Since that time Casa Central has evolved into the largest Hispanic serving organization in the Midwest with 14 comprehensive programs providing services to individuals ages 0-99+ and their families.
