About the Provider
Located in a pleasant, two story educational wing of the Carter Church, CCC was founded in 1982 by Barbara Carr and Sheila Connolly, with the assistance of the former pastor and the Director of Education to fulfill a community need. CCC has earned a reputation within the community as a premier child care center. Parent satisfaction is reflected in the high sibling enrollment and the extensive wait list.
The administrators determine CCC policy with guidance from an Advisory Board of Directors. An administrative staff, including two directors, and a professional teaching staff, directs CCC's daily operation.
Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), under the auspices of the Needham Board of Health, Carter Center for Children, Inc. (CCC), operates as a private, non profit children's center, five full days a week all year long. CCC provides quality child care in a safe, healthy environment for families living in the Needham area, aids children and supports parents in optimum development of each child's social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills, and helps bring meaning and understanding to the young child's world.
CCC offers a well-balanced approach to early childhood education, striving to create a non-competitive environment. Children are provided with a wide variety of developmental materials, including access to an extensive children's library and two areas of outdoor play equipment and space. An experienced, caring staff, trained in early childhood education, provide support and have considerable resources to share with families in an understanding and non-judgmental environment.
Parents have peace of mind at CCC that their child is cared for in a responsive, safe, environment where children can learn through play and where emphasis is placed on being a family-oriented center. Our goal is to concentrate on the growth of the whole child; our schedule reflects the needs of working parents; and, our policies attempt to address parent concerns whenever possible.
