Description:
Carola's Little Rascals is a licensed child care daycare in Silver Spring, MD. At Carola's Little Rascals, we enroll children as young as 2 months through 5 years old.
“Carola's Little Rascals” is an in-home license large daycare. The daycare operates all year round Monday through Friday from as early as 7:30 am in the morning up to 5:30 pm at night (Excluding major holidays and two weeks of paid vacation a year.) The days are organized around a pre-set scheduled program that allows the children to be exposed to age-specific developmental and social-skill building activities.
Most educational activities are completed in English and in Spanishh thus offering children the opportunity to learn the foundations of two languages at the same time and start to become Bilingual.
“Carola's Little Rascals” - Is a daycare that offers our little rascals and their families the best of two worlds: the best of a family-like environment and the best of a center-like organization. The in-home setting allows children to feel protected and loved, while, at the same time, the center-like structure offers them an organized and disciplined learning environment.

My son started going to Carola's almost five years ago when he was just a few months old. He has been well cared for and nurtured and I am so grateful to have had Carola and her staff help take care of him and teach him. The atmosphere at the center is warm and supportive and Carola cares deeply about the children and their development. I highly recommend Carola's Little Rascals.
Carola and her teachers have been taking care of daughters since they were babies. I am continually impressed about what a loving, kind, and fun atmosphere they create for the kids every single day and how all the kids, from 0-5, get along. They really care about the children and the center is truly a home away from home. My kids both LOVE going, although my oldest is now super excited and ready for kindergarten. Besides a high quality pre-school program and Spanish immersion, the teachers emphasize social skills like how to be a good friend, how to handle disagreements, how to help out others, and how to manage daily needs like bathroom, eating, etc independently. They were also fantastic and showed knowledge and flexibility with my breastfed infant. One of my favorite parts is how much outdoor and free play time the children get here. And that my two kids get to see and interact with each other every day. I highly highly recommend Carola and her teachers to anyone looking for quality childcare outside of the large centers.
Our son has been going to Carola's Little Rascals since he was 10 weeks old, and now he's 2.5. It's very convenient to the Glenmont area of Silver Spring MD, located off of Layhill Road near the Midcounty Recreation Center. We have had a great experience, much like the previous poster from a few years ago. The teachers are very loving and attentive, they encourage play and our son is also learning and developing at an appropriate level, coming home with new words or knowledge daily. Through song time, he is always singing new songs. He knows colors, shapes, numbers, letters by sight, etc. He loves going every day, spends a lot of time outside on nice days, brings home art and other fun projects. When I am out of town for work, the environment at Carola's helps our son continue to thrive. We highly recommend!
I would like to recommend Carola's daycare center! My husband and I have been using them for the last 7 years and have had a fantastic experience with them. They are loving and nurturing towards the kids and run a very clean center. We sent our two kids there from the time they were 2 months old until they were ready for Kindergarten. Carola and her staff not only prepare the kids for elementary school academically, but also for life in general. They teach the children to respect themselves, their friends and their parents; to use manners when asking for help; and how to take care of themselves independently (like going to the bathroom, blowing their nose, etc). The staff is continually attending training seminars and updating their pre-school curriculum to meet Maryland State standards. It is a fantastic center run by women who LOVE children.
