About the Provider

Cambria Center for the Gifted Child started as a home-based school back in 1980 with a group of four children that were participants in the Founder/Director’s doctoral research project. In 1982, Cambria Center for the Gifted Child moved into its own building and expanded to include not only pre-school but also elementary school. As the word spread, the student population grew and have continued to succeed based upon our theories concerning education.

The Center has grown to become a pre-eminent private non-sectarian educational institution with an annual enrollment of nearly 300 students from pre-k through 5th grade. A great number of our graduates leave our institution and enter preparatory schools on academic scholarships, while others enter some of the more challenging public schools and are raised a grade level based upon their academic strengths. Cambria Center for the Gifted Child attributes its success not only to its focused, caring approach to education; but also to it’s staff, families, and those within and outside of the community that have supported us.
