Description: It is my goal to provide a warm and caring home that allows children to develop as unique individuals in a nurturing, creative, learning environment. I believe that children are active learners that learn through play, and that learning begins at birth. Learning/play environments should be set up to where the child feels safe, secure, and loved in order to promote independence through social, intellectual, physical, and language development. I stress age appropriate activities based on the child’s experience, interests, and play. These principals recognize that each child develops at his or her own unique rate. With this philosophy in mind I strive to build a sense of self-discovery, creativity, and self-esteem in every child while enriching partnerships between home, community, and provider.
