My child went to this daycare from Fall of 2018 - Spring of 2020. The previous owners of the daycare were amazing, and it wasn't long after I sent my children here that it was taken over by Ms Vanessa. My child, who is now 7 still remembered when she was there. She remembers the teachers being mean and making her feel bad about herself. See, my child was not vocal when she went there and was behind on her speech and instead of teaching her, they berated her. Her response to things was to yell/scream. This was brought to my attention by the owner in the spring of 2020. It wasn't until I checked this site and saw the post from dandrea, that it all made sense. MY child was the one they yelled at to stop screaming and threatening her. I understand that this was over 3 years ago, and I genuinely hope that things have changed, but we're still dealing with the literal verbal abuse that my child had at this facility years later. Also, within 2 months of staying at home with her during COVID, she was speaking in sentences and communicating her needs because she felt safe. She didn't feel safe there.
Wow where do I start my daughter started going here at 6weeks I will not at the time we were paying 220 a week and everything was going well until we received purchase a care my daughter was put on a formula that caused constipation so the dr order an ounce of prune juice to be put in her formula with every feeding they failed to give that to her because they said “babies can’t have more than 4 ounces of juice a day because they will go through diapers” lol mind you we had a Dr order. .then on different occasions my child was brought home in poopy pampers we mentioned it to Ms Vanessa she said corrective actions will be taken but then it happen again on another incident my child came home with a diaper rash they used diaper cream on my child they I never provided to them and they didn’t notify me that my child had a diaper rash. .sooo finally this last incident my child came home with another diaper rash this time it was really bad they did the same thing put diaper rash cream on her without telling me anything so I mentioned this to Vanessa she said that the rash came from her being sensitive to what she at lol I guess because I’m a new parent that makes me dumb no mam how bout your staff left my child in a poopy diaper for a long period of time with out changing her that’s how it got there. .she told me she was going to advocate for her staff cause they did nothing wrong. .I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place oh they also put a label with my daughter name on Destin cream that doesn’t belong to her maybe because I called the health dept so they had to save these own a**
While my children were going to this daycare, they would come home and tell me that the teacher threatened them with "time out all day" or "away" from everyone else. I approached the teacher about the accusations and they were dismissed and explained away. There were teachers there that did care for my children, but they dealt with them each differently. I mean that the one that had more trouble, they got short tempered with and was extremely hard on, while the other is more even tempered, and they treated her with much more love. No matter the temperament of a child, they still need the same amount of love and attention, and this daycare did not provide that. Something that was not brought to light until later, but payments were not calculated correctly. Money that was paid was claimed to have never been paid, and even state vouchers were taken when my children were no longer there. It wasn't until my husband confronted the owner and called out the discrepancies, was it explained, and with the possibility to them being reported, the balance was forgiven. Hoping it has gotten better since my children were there, but they were removed as Covid hit, and were there for the year prior.
Since my daughter has started going to building blocks she immediately loved it, she enjoys her teachers and other staff members. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly when you walk in. My daughter has learned so much and is very immediate, a great place for child care
upon entry an awaiting someone to greet me i heard the owner vanessa being very rude with an employee and speaking to children in a very disrespectful and ignorant way. she gave me the tour and upon entering other rooms the childcare teachers in rooms 5 and 6 were telling children to shut up and have a seat, wait till i get to you your not in a rush, if you don't stop your darn screaming i am going to put you in time out for the day away from the rest of us. once i walked in the rooms the tone of voices changed. they put on a great show when someone walks into the room. i would not recommend taking your kid here and the parents who do need to do regular pop ups and talk to your children
