Bright Days Kids Incorporated

Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend is a community organization serving children 0-3 years of age and pregnant women. Founded in 1972 by the late Budd Bell, we provide comprehensive Early Head Start services to 236 eligible children ages 6 weeks to 3 years and 42 pregnant women and their families in Jefferson, Leon and Madison counties. In addition, new mothers are presently participating in the Legacy Project, a research-based program serving 30 mothers in Leon and Madison counties.

Kids Incorporated is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization and is a certified-member agency of the United Way of the Big Bend.

Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, Kids Incorporated continues to be guided by the conscience of our late founder, Budd Bell. Although Budd was honored by governors, former Secretary of State Colin Powell and was named one of Eckerd's Top 100 Women in America, she always believed that the best recognition for a job well done was a smile from a child. An Early Head Start Policy Council provides guidance from parents impacted by our programs as well as community leaders.
