I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My child was enrolled in Bright Beginnings Preschool and we were loving it. He enjoyed coming to daycare every day and never had an issue at drop off. He even would ask to stay longer when I picked him up. Then one day out of the blue I get a phone from Mrs. Pam (the director). I have never met her or had any conversations with her until this phone call. The 7 months my child was at Bright Beginnings, I never saw her there. She informs my child is being kicked out of the center for hitting a child. I was stunned as that's what 4 year old's do and he doesn't have chronic behaviors. When I began to question her decision she immediately started using his Autism against him. Mrs.Pam stated "We are not equipped to handle his needs". I asked her what needs she was speaking of since his Autism is very mild and he doesn't have any special needs other than sensory and they are very mild. She didn't have an answer for me. She then stated "He needs a smaller classroom setting". I informed her that she is not qualified to make that decision and that he will be entering a general education class for Kindergarten next year. She then says "he is exhausting his teachers", well this was news to me as they acted as if they loved him and enjoyed having him in their classroom. I asked her to put all of this in writing and she instantly began backpedaling on every thing she had said and shifting the blame to me saying I dismiss his teachers when they message me. This is completely insane as I have been an educator for 24 years and I know the importance of teachers and parents working together. She also stated that they welcomed him with open arms even though I told them at our tour that he has Autism. Again, not true she wasn't even at the tour. She was just covering herself. I purposely didn't tell anyone not even his teachers that he had Autism until he had been there several weeks. I wanted them to see him and not his Autism. They would have never known had I not told them. Mrs. Pam didn't do my tour and again I have NEVER seen this woman and the only conversation I had with her was when she called to kick my child out of her center. As a parent I have never felt so helpless in protecting my child and it was an adult that is suppose to be there to protect, teach and love my child that made me feel this way. I do not recommend you send your child here if they have any needs or behaviors even the typical behaviors. I have since heard of many kids that Mrs.Pam has put out but has never even interacted with. Instead she should educate herself and her staff on children with Autism as it is very prevelant in our society today. My child was kicked out based on her bias and stereotypes of Autism.

I am an employee

As a long term employee at Bright Beginnings Preschool, I LOVE my job and our director. Our director is very understanding and runs the school professionally. She makes sure that she always has the best hardworking staff. I have learned so many great things from our director both professionally and personally. Our director and staff have always been there for me through the good times and the bad. I love teaching children and I love my job! This is a fantastic Preschool!

If you're looking for a place to simply leave your kids, but don't care about a professional environment where employees love their boss and joyfully follow all of the expectations and rules set out for them, then this is the DAYCARE for you. The manager/owner is not a nice person and bullies her employees, just ask them. She is also not a person of high integrity, and arbitrarily changes her mind with hiring agreements, despite the high quality of work from her employees. She does not know how to work with her employees in scheduling their work hours, nor does she know how to schedule enough workers to adequately meet the needs of the children at the daycare center. Often the teachers are in great need of additional assistance and floaters are willing to come in and work additional hours, but she doesn't schedule them to work when they are most needed. If you have really young children, then they're not able to tell you that more assistance was needed in the classrooms. Drop in and check things out from time to time. Does it seem chaotic? Are there lots of kids crying? Do your homework! Also, listen to the managers and employees. Are they using correct grammar? Is that important to you? The owner can't even use correct grammar, yet asks her employees to do this. Nothing is more important than your child. Buyer beware... this may not be your best choice!

I would like to say as far as an overall rating , my daughter loved the school once she became used to it. She was 2 at the time. However as time passed, problems came. I received a phone call while at work explaining that my daughters hair was pulled out! So . Left wrk and went to the facility. And all they could do was say "im so sorry". As a parent I asked why weren't the teachers paying attention to the kids!!!?. And her response was they had to deal with a tantrum while the other teacher was in the back of the room. I was highly upset about this. But they expelled the little boy that did this so I continued to let my daughter stay. Well after a year my daughter had a new class new teacher. One day she came home and said " mommy Miss CeCe pinched me bc I wouldn't listen". I immediately confronted her but she lied and said she had no idea wat my daughter was talking about. The owner played the video camera but saw nothing. So I had her removed to another school. And guess what...when I mentioned Miss CeCe name, the owner knew very well who I was referring to bc she had just fired her for the same reason. Complaints from parents bc of pinching and hitting incidents. BBC school needs to do extensive background checks before hiring teachers. As parents, we leave our kids in the teachers hand while we're at work..hoping that our kids are being treated with loving care.

My children LOVE Bright Beginnings Preschool! The teachers are absolutely amazing with the children! It's difficult sometimes to get my children to leave with me at the end of the day. I stayed home with my first child for the first 3 years and was very nervous about starting both of my kids in a daycare but it has been great! They have a great curriculum for them and are always doing something fun and creative with them. My oldest comes home daily with so much new knowledge that he just HAS to share with everyone! I would recommend Bright Beginnings highly to everyone! If you want your child to be loved and cared for with the best care in the area this is the place to enroll your child/children! :)

All these negative comments about Pam are wrong. Pam does not treat everyone low. She is a great director and boss. She is extremely understanding and loving. Everyone is entitled to have a bad day every now and then and go out and have a personal life! I am very proud of Pam and the new school. She has done amazing things! We love you Pam!!!!

I have to express my extreme fustration with the director of this preschool. -BRIGHT BEGINNINGS! when you pay your hard earned money to a facility each week you expect for the director to at the least say hello, wether at the facility or at Target! Pamela Brown will walk right pass you as if you are not there. for the amount of money I pay her center each week she ought to be able to buy a descent personality and respect level. she doesnt mind flashing around what the tuition pays for her personally, at least be nice to the parents. and your social life is a representation of your leadership and what type of leader you are. I have seen pictures of her "extracaricular" activities and she needs to reconsider her actions before throwing judgment and stones. I am currently looking for a new facility. sad the management of this facility feels she is above the average citizen in the country she operates.

BB Parent/Teacher Sep 16, 2011

Let me start by saying I absolutley love working at BB preschool. My son comes here too and I couldn't be more happy to have the teachers working with him here.  They have helped him in more ways and worked with him one on one. My son has signs of ADHD and they help him and do not discriminate against any child in this facility. Ms. Pam has helped me personally and truely cares for her staff and children. I appreciate everything she has done for me and my child. I would recommend everyone to bring their child to BB preschool.

First off let me start by saying that Bright Beginnings is now a 4 star center and the Staff, Parents, and children are very proud to say this. Nothing but good things happen at Bright Beginnings! The director is an awsome boss who cares alot about her staff, kids, and business. As a teacher here I am proud to say where I work when anyone ask. I am always recommending parents to our preschool. I am also proud to say that our Infant/Toddler class is doing GREAT, and the rooms are all full with loving teachers and beautiful loving children! I love my job and teaching my children in my class, they mean the world to me and I wouldnt have it any other way. I LOVE BRIGHT BEGINNINGS!

The most recent review CLEARLY sounds like an advertisment for this facility. This is not an advertisment page! This is a page that is for reviews on a facility, positive or negative that is used in helping parents finding quality childcare. The term "BB" is an insider abbreviation for Bright Beginnings. Pictures are one thing, actually purchasing the equipment is another. With that being said, why should parents help purchase equipment at the END of the year when their child will be leaving?! The director/assistant director do not handle your children!!  The TEACHERS DO, and when they can not handle a problem child, along with running a class room full; then they are passed on the director. Then in return she calls the parents bc she does not have them time to deal with them. If letting your assistant director belittle them is called dealing with the issue, then apparently something is wrong! Also have to comment on the Infant/Toddler room, that is open and has not taken off like she planned. That should speak volumes about the program/tuition.. So again this is NOT an advertisment page! I have been a previous parent, loved the teachers and the love they gave my child but not how the facility is managed.  Also, if it is state licensed and star rated it is a Daycare, no matter what Fancy term you give it.

I would highly recommend Bright Beginnings to parents for their children. My children used to attend Creedmoor Christian Daycare and I was extremely excited when the time came I could remove them when one of my children reached the minimum age that was required at that time to enroll in BB. The teachers are great with my kids, we've had some issues with our youngest regarding behavior and everyone including the Director & Asst. Director were helpful in the process of working with that child. They now have opened an Infants/Toddler room along with an afterschool program which my oldest will be attending. There has been a fund raiser since I have had my kids there and pictures where shown & info provided of what the money was being used for. My kids have learned a great deal there, more than they had at the previous daycare. There is a big difference between at a preschool versus a daycare, my kids are always happy to be there.

So many people love to focus on the negativity and not the positive of situations. With that being said I have to say when it deals with the well being of a child nothing is too extreme. I agree and disagree with both of the above reviews. Yes I have had experience with Bright Beginnings Preschool in Creemoor. The teachers do love and care for the children. They do learn more there then at other daycares. They are taken care of by the teachers and are dependent upon the teachers. That is 1 part of which a concerned parent should focus on. Yet, the 2nd review hits the nail on the head when it says the director/owner is money hungry. It is obvious that the experience is not there to run a successful and thriving business. A fundraiser was done at the end of the year whereas at least 20+ children would not benefit from that. There are some nice and variety of toys, but the parents think the center purchases them. NO!!, the owner Does Not. Most of the toys are purchased with grant money from the state, but yet asks parents for money. Money to pay to see their own child graduate. That should be a privleage. Regardless of the cost, thats just a fact of running a business. There is constant policy changes as spoken above. Rules made and rules broken by owner, assistant director, and staff. Favoritism is clearly show to the children and staff. Does not appreciate what the staff does. I have been witness to this. If you have a problem and go to the director with it; instead of her helping to find a solution, she finds an excuse. Her high turnover rate should also raise a red flag. Also, the rate the she is losing children should raise a flag..Just please be forwarned about this facility..

My son absolutely loves going to Bright Beginnings every morning. It's hard to get him to leave when I pick him up after work! His teachers, Ms. Cathy and Ms. April are very nice and informative. My son has learned how to count and say his colors in Spanish. It seems like every night he comes home, he has learned a new song and just HAS to share it with everyone in the house! There was a Fun Day recently which the parents were invited to come to. There was a bouncy house, water play, and special treats for the kids. It was nice to see my son playing with his friends and enjoying himself. It makes me feel less guilty that I have to work instead of stay home with him myself. Bright Beginnings Preschool does a great job at teaching and caring for my child.

The managment and director has a lot to learn about business management. the staff is good with the children. but the director is always asking for more money. it is obvious if your child attends there you will see where the funds are going and it is not towards the children or the facility. if you dont mind numerous fundraisers-where you never see what is being purchased with the proceeds, high enrollment fees, constant policy changes and greedy management then it will work.
