To the mom who thinks that this caregiver is not negligent is completely wrong. You do not have the facts and have no clue what a sublingual hematoma is in a 7 month old. Consider yourself lucky that nothing serious has happened to your children in her care. Why would any licensed caregiver not follow procedures required by the state of Texas ???? Um....Do you think she didn't report for a reason???? Feel free to look it up. These are the facts. 5 days in the hospital three in ICU. Bet she had you write this for her.
To the comment about the 7 month old with the hematoma. Sheryl 100% did not cause this. Your child was crying minutes after you dropped him off! I saw your car pull up and I dropped my children after directly afterwards! I 100% believe your child was injured in your care as it is unlikely for this to have happened within minutes of drop off! I have been inside this home at all time of the day for random pick up and drop off for the past three years and never saw a child sitting in a car seat! These comments don't ring true!
My two children have been in care here for the past three years and Sheryl is great! My kids are well fed, happy, and thriving! My youngest was having issues with flat head (not due to Day care) I mentioned my concerns to Sheryl and she help to make sure he did extra tummy time and even helped encourage his stretches! She truly cares about these kids and does a great job! Don't listen to the reviewers above because I know for a fact neither of these incidents were the fault of day care provider!
My 7 month old son was in the ICU on a ventilator for three days after being in the care of this woman with a sublingual hematoma that was caused by trauma according to his doctors. The only answer I got from her about what happened was, "I don't know what happened." CPS could not find enough evidence to prove that she physically abused him. All I know is that I dropped him off and he was completely fine and when I picked him up he was bleeding from his mouth and having trouble breathing. She did not report that any incident happened within 48 hours and was cited for that. Stay away from her!
I would never subject a child to the care of this lady. My son was left in his car seat all day to the point where he almost had to have a corrective helmet to fix his flat head. The worst of it was that we went through extensive testing and doctors appointments only to find out that my son was being basically starved at daycare. We fed him all the time at home because he couldn't seem to get enough. I can't believe she is still in business. Think twice before you take your little one here.
