The BGCC nurtures young lives, and has been doing so for over half a century. Through youth development programs, we strive to provide children with a positive self-identity, positive values, and a commitment to learning, empowering them to be responsible for their health and well-being, promoting social competency, and encouraging the children to be involved in the community. Everyday in the Clubs, we motivate young people’s self-esteem by instilling a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence, and competence.
The BGCC provides children with supportive relationships of caring adults. We teach children to expect more of themselves and the world around them. We provide physical, social, educational, and technological opportunities so they can challenge themselves and push their expectations. The Club provides recognition for their accomplishments, reaffirming the importance of their successes. While we are doing all this—We Have Fun! The BGCC fosters an atmosphere of family, creating a sense of ownership, which the members feel for the Club. Our facilities provide children with a safe place where they know they belong; a place where they can be themselves to grow and learn.
