Findings: There was a supervision concern regarding a child leaving the facility unattended. During an investigation, it was determined that a child had departed the facility and was found a block away. Resolution: The child care provider has implemented additional supervision protocols such as a locking mechanism on the door to prevent children from departing the facility on their own.

Findings: Supervision/Health & Safety Concern. There were concerns involving two locations of Blue Bird Daycare. During the investigation at the Cottonwood location, a 13 year old youth was onsite without a juvenile background clearance and CPR/1st Aid cards. At the Grangeville location, only one staff member was onsite and did not have a current background clearance. Child/Staff ratios were out of compliance. Resolution: During a follow up for the Cottonwood location, staff was able to provide a background clearance letters and CPR/First Aid certificates for all staff. Follow up inspection for Grangeville location showed background clearance letters and CPR/First Aid certificates for all staff. For future action, any potential staff members will stay off site until they had completed their background checks. Child/Staff ratios were in compliance.
