About the Provider
Bethany Lutheran School is fully accredited by the Kansas State Department of Education and National Lutheran School Accreditation. All of Bethany's teachers are state certified. School data and several reports are submitted to the Kansas State Department of Education each year.
Evaluation is an integral part of the education process. It helps students, parents, teachers, and administrators to assess the academic experience with which they are working. This also enables parents to monitor the academic progress of thier child(ren).
Teachers and administrators use evaluations to determine the effectiveness of the instructional program. At Bethany, both formative evaluations (such as quizzes, teacher-created tests) and summative evaluations (such as unit or post-tests) Are utilized to determine mastery of a concept.
As part of our accreditation, the Kansas State Assessments are given to the students in reading, writing, social studies, scienc,e and mathematics.
Students also take the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS), which is usually administered in late winter or early spring.
Methods of evaluation and assessments will be discussed at the first parent-teacher conference.
Bethany Lutheran School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, and ethnic origin in administration of it's admission policies, educational policies, or other school-administered programs and activities.
