I have worked with children who have IEP teams and I welcome the professional help, knowledge and assistance of all outside professionals. Parents are encouraged to be part of the program. My door is always opened. Good healthy communication is key, in order to encourage our children to learn, communicate, develop, grow, and respect their environment from now through adulthood. If you are seeking Quality Care, try me, 443-525-2451. And let's not forget our, children come first.

Additional Information: LHRU believes that each child is an unique individual who needs a secure, inclusive, stimulating atmosphere, in order to grow and develop. Children develop best when their learning environment has multiple resources; therefore, I have incorporate valued information from Maryland Healthy Beginnings, InvestaGator, and the Creative Curriculum to expand and stimulate language, cognitive, personal/social, and physical skills. My position as the provider is to guide the little ones to the information, rather than being the central source of it. Children learn as they are actively engaged in “Child’s Play”. Although learning styles differ from one child to the next, group discovery generates ideas, exposes creativity, helps to problem solve and find answers to a child’s important questions. It’s vital to allow youngsters to find answers on their own as they engage in “real life situations. Children are free to choose from age-appropriate activities such as art, music, language development, pre-math skills, science and nature, and dramatic play. Little ones develop confidence, self-esteem, independence and problem-solving skills while making choices and assisting in activities. When necessary, modifications will be made to ensure that each child has the best opportunity to learn, grow and develop. Diversity/Inclusion Philosophy: Little Helpers "R" Us has a positive atmosphere which is welcoming to those of differing learning styles/abilities, skin color, religion, gender, language or ethnic background. I've had the pleasure of working with children from different countries, those who are challenged in learning and in their bodies (mental, physical/behavioral). The biggest help to me, the child care community, the children (w/special needs) and their families is the documentation of the IFSP/IEP's. The information outlined in these forms help me to be of better service by understanding the root and solution of the child's need. Diversity helps children and their families to build a sense of belonging and trust. Please know that you are welcomed here. Children are served nutritious food and snack, which is approved by the Child and Adult Food Program. Parents are more than welcomed to send meals and snacks if they choose. However, this is a NO NUT Zone. No peanuts, cashews, tree nuts almonds etc. I have certificates in ; Children's Challenging Behaviors Day by Day with Toddlers Fun & Fitness:Addressing Childhood Obesity Children with Special Needs Supporting Breastfeeding Infant Safety Many ways to Learn Toddlers/Preschoolers The Road to Reading Cultural Diversity Stress & Day Care CPR/First Aid Emergency Preparedness Medication Administration And MORE! If you are in search of quality child care, please give me a try. I am located in the Woodlawn area.
