Sad Mommy & Former Employee Mar 04, 2019
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. The owner/director and assistant director do nothing but bad mouth families and terrorize their employees. The teacher turnover is so high, there are only 3 teachers that have been there for over 2 years, and they did not even go to college for early childhood education. NONE of the teachers working there have a background in ECE, actually.
One of the main things that sold me on the center was that they brushed the childrens' teeth daily and they served healthy food for breakfast, lunch and snack. In reality, the childrens' teeth do NOT get brushed EVER and they are served pasta for lunch at least 2-3 times per week. The classrooms and bathrooms are not cleaned daily, no matter what you are told. The toys are not taken and bleached after they have been in the mouths of infants and toddlers.
The final straw for my family was that the assistant director wanted to me to commit fraud with my CCR&R card by swiping him in and out, even on days he was not there, so that they daycare could make more money off of my family and child. If they are willing to go above and beyond to lie to the State of NJ, they WILL lie to you about your child and their wellbeing.
Do yourself and your little ones a favor and DO NOT send them to BFA. There are MANY more centers that are WAY better.

All Natural! Sep 01, 2016
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Finally a place that respects my beliefs! First of all, the food is actually healthy. I was so tired of our other place that served pizza, tons of juice, French fries, and candy. My child gets a fruit and vegetable with every lunch and a healthy snack too. No trams fats, white bread and pasta, high fructose corn syrup, etc. Natural and REAL food. The teachers were so understanding of my beliefs. They even allowed me to use cloth diapers and homemade wipes. I basically got laughed out of other buildings when I proposed the idea. My child also has a food allergy and they were nice enough to ban that food from the entire building! I'm so happy that I don't have to worry about my child being exposed to harsh chemicals and poisons. They even use an all natural cleaning products for the safety of the children. This is awesome because they seriously clean nonstop, which I love! The classroom is well maintained and my family is finally getting respect. They treat the children as individuals!

Safe and secure Aug 26, 2016

I can not say enough good things about this daycare. My children have gone there for years and I always felt great leaving my kids in their care. The security system is amazing which makes me feel so safe. I love the high tech cameras that are there to make sure my children are treated with kindness and respect. They have a camera at the door so no one can sneak in and put the kids in danger. The staff is loving and informative and I have known some of them for years. I knew that they would call me for any small accident or just if my kid was feeling sad. It's also awesome that I don't have to pack food and that it is all included in the tuition price. I went to a lot of daycares in ML and not one could even compare. The tuition is cheaper than others and well worth every penny!

Oh dear Jun 27, 2016
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

The owner is so rude to staff. She has favorites like her sister or staff that have kids there. She fires amazing employees and keeps the ones that don't know what they are doing. My child had multiple bite marks on them. The owner Erica thinks she is entitled to everything and thinks she knows best when she says organic but eats unhealthy food when it is suppose to be no outside food. All she seems to care about is the money which is disgusting. The poor employees that she fires are so amazing and deserve better. All and all do not put your kids here !!

Do not go here Apr 15, 2016
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

This daycare is the worst thing to happen to Mays Landing. The owner is a liar and a phony. They have an extremely high turnover rate of teachers who are not even educated to be teachers. Yes, there are a couple friendly staff members, but most of them do not even act like they like children, and they only give proper attention to staff favorites who are usually teachers children or friends and family of the owner. They do not care if your child eats the boring food that is served over and again, and will pretend they ate "some" on the take home paper when they actually starved all day. As the person above commented, there were countless numbers of bruises, "accidents", and lots of biting. The children obviously are not being supervised correctly. They have a great rating on Facebook because the ratings are from teachers, friends and the owners family! This was the worst place for my child to thrive. What kind of people ignore children, and even act like they do not like them to their faces?? If you truly care about your child's safety and emotional well being, please BEWARE!!!

Some of the staff are friendly and happy, while others look miserable to be there. I do not believe the majority of the staff are educated to teach children, and they have obvious favorites who get the majority of the attention. They seemed to be understaffed when my child was there and were always sending children home. Lots of accidents happened with biting and falling and things that could have been avoided if the children were supervised. It is a clean place with a good meal program, but the attitudes, staff turnover, and lack of compassion from the staff makes for an overall bad experience.

Happy Parent Jun 06, 2011

My family loves BFA. We started before they were in the big building, when it was out of Ms. Erica's home and it's been wonderful. My child loves going to school and loves the teachers. It's been a great experience to have my child want to go to school. Friends, Fun and Food, those are the 3 things my child see's. I see the caring staff, the convenience of not having to pack everything (food, bedding etc) and send it in, and the wonderful education. As you can see between me and my child's review...this is a great place. I would highly recommend it.
