Noncompliance Area: On 8/1/23, observed one staff member present with a group of 14 preschool children in the process of starting nap. Thirteen children were on their rest equipment, while the fourteenth child was sitting at a nearby table eating lunch. Because the child was eating lunch and not going to or coming from the bathroom, nap ratios were not in compliance and there would need to be 2 staff with the group of 14 preschool children until the child finished eating.
