About the Provider
The curriculum at Charles W. Barrett Elementary School is based around Treasures Reading and EnVision Math. These Programs are used in conjunction with strategies developed by Academic English Mastery Program (AEMP). These programs are integrated by the classroom teachers to provide a good foundation of basic skills and a well rounded knowledge base.
Charles W. Barrett Elementary School is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District's Transformational Schools Program (TSP). The schools in the TSP are dedicated to raising the achievement level of historically under performing schools. The TSP focuses on oral language development to help close the achievement gap.
