My children attended this daycare from March 2026 through June 2026. We did not experience significant concerns until abrupt changes occurred in May 2026.
March 2026: My children appeared well cared for. My youngest (under 1 year old) developed a wonderful bond with their teacher and was always happy to see them. My oldest experienced a few incidents of bullying and other unpleasant interactions. However, while Heather was the director, these concerns were addressed, and my oldest remained happy and excited to attend daycare.
April 2026: My youngest was diagnosed with asthma. Heather was knowledgeable, compassionate, and understood my child’s medical needs without requiring repeated explanations. She was attentive to their treatment schedule and accommodations, and I remain very grateful for the care and experience she provided during that time.
May 2026: Several significant changes occurred within the daycare environment. My oldest began experiencing repeated physical aggression from another child. They described incidents that included having their hair pulled and toys thrown at them. Over time, these repeated incidents noticeably affected their behavior, confidence, and willingness to attend daycare. By the end of the month, they expressed that they were afraid to be left there.
June 2026: My youngest came home on multiple occasions with numerous bruises, appeared dehydrated, and at times had not eaten adequately. The explanations provided included their high activity level and limited supervision while staff were occupied with tasks such as diaper changes. On one occasion, my youngest was picked up extremely hot, lethargic, and dehydrated after spending an extended period outside without water. They were also picked up multiple times wearing a heavily soiled diaper. Despite requesting more frequent diaper changes, this concern was not consistently addressed, resulting in diaper rash and skin irritation.
I was also told that my youngest was sometimes not encouraged to finish meals because staff did not want to chase them if they were not eating.
My oldest continued to experience repeated physical incidents, including having their hair pulled, being pushed to the ground, stepped on, kicked, and jumped on by other children. I brought these concerns to both the owner, Alex, and the new director, Gloria.
During our final one to two weeks at the daycare, my oldest reported not receiving meals as expected, stating things such as, “There wasn’t enough food,” “I didn’t need food,” and “The other kids needed to eat first.”
Despite raising these concerns with management, the physical incidents and other issues continued throughout our remaining time at the daycare.
I remain grateful for the care my children received while Heather was director and for the support she provided during a difficult medical transition. However, based on our family’s experience during the final months of enrollment, we ultimately felt it was in our children’s best interest to leave.
