Au Bonheur des Enfants is a licensed French immersion home day care service that offers a play based learning environment and welcomes families from all backgrounds. Au Bonheur des Enfants was born with the vision to provide children with a fun and stimulating environment immersed in French language and culture. It is located in a calm, friendly neighborhood on the East side of Lansing (close to Michigan State University Club). Our goal is to provide a safe environment where children can develop and acquire new knowledge in an enjoyable French-speaking environment, feel comfortable, respected, and cared for. Each child has their own pace and personality and we wish to help them bring out the best in themselves and start them on their journey to a bilingual life with all the joys that will bring. Studies show that exposure to a foreign language in the early stages of a child’s development enables children to fluently master that language and develop a multifaceted perspective of the world. As a result, children who learn a second language are better equipped to communicate and adapt their interactions with people of different cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
