Finding the Asprea In-home daycare was a breath of fresh air. I was brand new to Sarasota, recently divorced single mom of two children; who needed childcare during the day and some nights and weekends. I was extremely discouraged with my options and about to lose hope until I interviewed Cathy Asprea.
Not only was she accommodating with my complex schedule, but her establishment is emaculent. Cathy has been caring for my 2 boys for well over a year now and I couldn't be happier. She is also a participating member of the Look for the Stars program, which is an educational accreditation.
Cathy Asprea is a real sweetheart, and I highly recommend her to anyone with a demanding work schedule like mine.
My child came home on several different occasions smelling like urine. He came home with scratches on his genitals. The next day I sent someone from the safe children's coalition to see what was going on at this facility. She noticed the marks, as well as noticing that the wetness indicator on his diaper was completely blue not yellow. She went to change him and when opening the diaper noticed he had a bowel movement. She asked when he was changed last and the teacher had replied 8:15 AM, she was changing him at 8:50 AM. I am very disappointed in the way my 12 month old was treated. His new daycare he seems a lot happier at probably because he isn't sitting in a soiled diaper for hours.
