About the Provider
At Apple Seeds Preschool, our philosophy is to provide a safe and nurturing learning experience to all children of different developmental abilities. At Apple Seeds, we recognize the uniquenesses of the "whole child," and build upon their strengths and weaknesses socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. We accomplish this through our interactive program using a hands-on approach through thematic learning centers and related projects. Our well-planned program encourages children to learn about the world around them through exploration, discovery, and imagination. We employ teacher-directed learning centers, coupled with cooperative and independent learning centers, for maximum learning for your child. Our projects created in class have a specific purpose and are related to either a story we have read in class or connected to our thematic unit.
In addition to projects and learning centers, Apple Seeds also believes in the importance and power of learning through play. Play is necessary for the maturation of all areas of learning and development. Through play, children develop interpersonal relationships, the ability to work cooperatively, and the ability to solve conflicts. It also improves hand-eye coordination and both small and large muscle development. Children learn to express their feelings, to cope, to be creative, and to enjoy learning. Children also develop the various cognitive processes such as predicting, classifying, and observing, and learn new concepts. It has been well documented that play is necessary in the development of language, which promotes future successes in reading and writing, which is why we consider it an important learning tool in our program.
At Apple Seeds, we pride ourselves on providing quality Education, Knowledge, Experience and a Shared Philosophy that parents are their children's first teacher and together we form a partnership to build the foundation of their lifelong education.
We are licensed through the Department of Early Education and Care.
