Description: A little about Amber: I was raised in Cache Valley. I grew up in my mother’s family childcare for most of my life. I have worked for licensed child cares for almost 19 years. I married my high school sweetheart in 2006. We have 2 monkeys of our own. We built our home in 2009 on the family property. I am to a point where I am able to stay home with my own children and operate a child care program in our home. We have a dog and cat that live in the home. Since kindergarten, I have wanted to teach elementary school or run a childcare program like my family. As a Child Care provider, I am able to teach preschool and do childcare. I have the best of both worlds. I believe that small children need to be in a nurturing environment in order to facilitate healthy growth. I care for and treat the children in my care as my own. A few goals with the children are to build self-esteem, to encourage self-discipline, and to provide a strong foundation for living, learning, and having fun. I teach the children manners, their colors, how to tie their shoes, and work hard to prepare them for kindergarten. I attend a minimum of 20 hours of training per year in order to stay on top of the ever-changing world of children. I maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification, as well as a Food Handlers, permit. I enjoy this profession and strive to maintain high standards.
